Parc Power Limited (PPL) was established in 2009 to develop and operate waste-to-energy and recycling plants in the UK and overseas. PPL’s waste-to-energy plants will convert a diverse array of waste and refuse into a clean, reliable and efficient source of zero-carbon electricity, thermal power and reclaimed recyclable materials.
The Company is currently developing a waste-to-energy plant near Swindon in Wiltshire, with operations scheduled to begin in 2013. The Company has earmarked locations throughout the UK for an additional ten waste-to-energy plants and anticipates that full regulatory permissions for the majority of these locations will be finalised by December, 2012.

PPL’s waste-to-energy plants will utilise proven and robust Mechanical Heat Treatment technology. This follows four years of research and development, from which PPL has concluded that waste-to-energy systems that use Mechanical Heat Treatment offer the best solution for processing waste and generating renewable energy in terms of efficiency, recycling and environmental considerations.
